Job Description

Corley Plumbing Air Electric is growing! We are now hiring for a Residential Electrician.

The essential function of the Electrical Technician is to serve the customers of Corley Plumbing Air Electric by maintaining and repairing electrical systems with an emphasis on quality work, performed efficiently, and following all applicable local and national codes.

You must know local electrical codes and be able to apply them in a practical manner on each job. Must be able to work with inspectors, suppliers, and co-worker technicians to ensure correct project work, while abiding by all codes. Must be able to draw simple wiring diagrams and be able to read other diagrams. Must be capable of following a wiring diagram on tracing installed wire. Must be able to install electrical hardware such as junction boxes and circuit breaker units.

A candidate for this position must be willing to pursue, develop, and participate in continuing education.

Other Job Requirements:

Work with and train any electrical helpers which may be assigned to work with you

Maintain the equipment and inventory in your truck for maximum efficiency

Attend required department meetings

Always exhibit professional conduct

Participate in an on-call rotation schedule

Have a high school diploma or GED

At least 18 years old

Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test

Possess a clean driving record and current driver’s license

Have a high level of mental and physical aptitude

Qualifications:

Strong residential customer service experience, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills

Very genuine and personable — a must

Strong steady work history with 3 years minimum as an Electrician

Strong communication skills

Able to climb in attics, under houses, and in box trucks

Able to lift 75 lbs.

Corley will support continued education costs (related to the Electrical/Power Systems field), up to $2,500 per year per Electrical Tech

Sign-on bonus of $1,200 (paid out $100 per month for 12 months), after 60 days of employment to qualified individuals
