Experienced Low Voltage Installation Technicians
We are a leading low voltage systems company based in Orange, serving Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Diego Counties. We specialize in Access Control, IP Cameras, Structured Cabling, Phone Systems, Audio/Video, Nurse Call, and other low voltage systems. We are currently seeking experienced Installation Technicians to join our team, with opportunities in commercial, higher education, and hospital environments.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Telecommunications Technician.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following systems: Access Control, IP Cameras, Structured Cabling, etc. (preferred).
- Own a work vehicle with space for a 6ft ladder (truck preferred).
- Possess basic telecom tools, including punch-down tools, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, 6ft fiberglass ladder, etc. (a full list of required tools will be provided).
- Ability to travel independently to various job sites.
Preferred:
- Experience with Access Control, IP Cameras, Nurse Call, and Structured Cabling in commercial and/or hospital settings (advanced residential cabling experience will also be considered).
- Industry-related certifications (e.g., OSHA10/30).
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow system plans.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Effective communication skills for client interactions and project updates.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, excellent customer service, and interpersonal skills. Self-starters are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install support structures and pathways (ladder racks, ceiling supports, J-hooks, etc.).
- Pull various types of copper cables and multi-strand fiber for structured cabling, card access systems, IP cameras, etc.
- Terminate field data jacks, coax connectors, and RJ-45 modular plugs.
- Dress, route, and terminate at IDF/MDF locations.
- Perform rack and stack work, including server racks and patch panels in MDF/IDF closets.
- Test and certify copper and fiber system cables using tools such as the Fluke DSX8000.
- Install field devices for all specified systems.
- Run or bend conduit (experience is a plus).
- Understand and work with color codes for both fiber and copper cabling.
Additional Requirements:
- Salary is negotiable and based on experience.
- Drug testing may be required depending on the job site.
- A clean DMV record may be required for certain job sites.
- Negative TB tests and flu shots may be required based on job site requirements.
- COVID-19 vaccination is not mandatory but may be required by specific job sites.
