What You'll Do As A Policy and Accreditation College Intern: This is an ongoing internship located in Columbus, OH.
The selected candidate will ideally be able to work throughout the school year and summer, for an average of 20 hours per week or less (with flexibility during the school semesters given class schedule and course load). The pay rate for a college intern is based upon the students' academic status: Undergraduate student rate of pay - $16.93 per hour Graduate student rate of pay - $20.59 per hour Major/field of study should be in: * Criminal Justice * Criminology * Pre-Law * Business * Any coursework with a strong understanding of research methods Job duties: * Assist with research and review of Division policies and procedures, including drafting sample policy language.
* Assist with proof reading, reading and review of cases for Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) compliance.
* Assist with CALEA proofs and compliance, ensuring policies are current in accreditation systems.
* Assist Accreditation Manager in developing process for new Ohio Collaborative Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (OCLEAP) accreditation.
* Collection of data for research and development and risk management teams.
* Basic clerical office work and other special projects as assigned.
