What you’ll be doing:
Apply depth and breadth of Manufacturing Engineering knowledge and experience to Support/undertake development in the following disciplines: Electromechanical assembly
Interpret production drawing data to identify & generate: Tooling requirements, Manufacturing process requirements, handling & safety requirements, estimation of assembly times, methods/routings
Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions, effective/efficient/practical shopfloor layouts
Conduct the following health and safety related activities: Risk, COSHH, PUWER, Manual handling assessments
Work alongside development teams to ensure Design for Manufacture is considered for all new products
Your skills and experiences:
Experience of working in a Manufacturing Environment
Requires a good understanding in MRP/ERP systems
Excellent understanding of Production Engineering principles
HNC/D qualification in engineering, or time served equivalent

The Manufacturing Engineering team:
The Manufacturing Engineering team consists of 6 Engineers, including this position. Our Engineers participate in every step of the build process, providing support to the manufacturing functions to ensure requirements are met. Manufacturing Engineering interact with every department within BAE Systems, interfacing with Procurement, Projects, Stores, Manufacturing, Engineering and more. It is a dynamic environment which requires excellent communication, problem solving and planning.
