We are seeking a curious, detail-oriented, and analytical individual to join our team as a Strategic Insights Analyst. This role supports the global strategic planning team by conducting research and data-driven analysis, identifying trends, synthesizing market intelligence, and delivering clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional projects to advance strategic initiatives and support high-impact planning sessions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys research, data analysis, synthesis, and communicating findings to diverse teams.
This role involves performing research and analyzing information to inform company strategies related to business planning and emerging market opportunities, and to enhance and create new value in changing markets. You will demonstrate critical thinking to assess information and summarize trends, provide direct support to the Strategic Planning team, and assist with coordinating and tracking progress on strategic initiatives and day-to-day tasks.
Responsibilities
Conduct research on AEC industry trends, market opportunities, regulatory developments, evolving client needs, emerging technologies, and technological disruptions.
Analyze information related to construction activity, infrastructure investment, sustainability initiatives, population trends, funding programs, public sector initiatives, and client sectors (e.g., healthcare, education, transportation).
Evaluate, prioritize, and discern between credible and reliable sources for information and data gathering.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align research insights with business development goals and strategic initiatives.
Partner with business development and operations to uncover growth opportunities and deliver clear, actionable insights that minimize informational clutter. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research for competitive analysis (e.g. pricing trends, market share dynamics), market intelligence, and industry trends.
Analyze internal and external data to identify patterns, opportunities, risks, and anticipate future possibilities.
Understand and perform systems thinking to connect ideas across geographies, market sectors, and macro trends.
Synthesize research findings and create/maintain concise reports, dashboards, visualizations and presentations that translate complex data into clear insights for a variety of audiences.
Organize and store information for future research projects.
Stay current on industry news, emerging technologies, and best practices in research and analytics.
Track and measure progress on strategic plans and key action items.
Schedule and coordinate strategy sessions, workshops, and follow-ups.
Assist with day-to-day administrative and project management tasks related to strategic initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with GIS tools or spatial data analysis.
Familiarity with CRM, ERP, and project management systems.
Experience with cloud platforms (Fabric, Azure, Palantir Foundry).
Experience with AI tools and platforms.
Preference given to local candidates
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Data Science/Statistics, Economics, or demonstrated related experience and/or education.
5 years of work experience in strategy, market research, data science, or project management.
Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret, summarize, and communicate complex information.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar analytics and visualization tools.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with a passion for learning and problem-solving.
Familiarity with the AEC industry.

Compensation & Benefits The company provides a comprehensive benefits package that promotes employee ownership, health, and success, including medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, employee assistance, paid time away, parental leave, paid holidays, a retirement plan with employer match, employee referral bonus, and tuition reimbursement. The compensation range for this position depends on skills, experience, education, and location. Salary range in Ohio: $79,940 - $114,200.
