Senior Accountant

One of our more prestigious clients has asked us for assistance in seeking a Senior Accountant to join their organization. We seek a Senior Accountant to play a critical supporting role in our client's financial operations. Reporting to the Controller and working closely with the CFO, this individual will manage day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, mission-driven professional with strong nonprofit or healthcare finance experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger processes
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and internal reports
Assist with the preparation of operating and capital budgets across multiple departments and facilities
Support the Controller in managing audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance
Maintain internal controls and ensure accounting policies and procedures are followed
Reconcile key accounts and assist with month-end and year-end closings
Work with department heads to ensure financial transparency and budget adherence
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support operational decision-making
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
3+ years of accounting/finance experience
Experience in nonprofit, senior living, or healthcare environments strongly preferred
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar)
Strong Excel and data analysis skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
