Position Title: Facilities Maintenance Mechanic II
Shift: Monday-Thursday, 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM
Status: Full-Time (Overtime and occasional PM shift coverage expected during peak season)
Position Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for performing preventive and routine maintenance to ensure all equipment, buildings, and grounds remain operational and safe. Assignments will be based on the associate's skill set and may include maintenance on machinery, racking, building systems, and facility infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of equipment
Conduct routine inspections, including drivers, motors, and belts
Complete preventive maintenance tasks, project assignments, and work orders
Replace industrial batteries as needed
Operate forklifts and work at heights up to 40 feet
Work in varying temperature zones, including freezer environments (0 F to ambient)
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
Provide guidance and support to seasonal associates
Assist the supervisor and act in their absence when needed Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, bend, climb, and work in physically demanding environments
Comfortable working in cold storage areas and at elevated heights Note: This position may require flexibility in hours, particularly during peak season, including occasional coverage of PM shifts.
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Strong mechanical skills and basic electrical knowledge
Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions
Experience operating forklifts, boom lifts, and other equipment (or willing to be trained)
Comfortable working at heights and in cold environments
Must complete company-provided safety training
Ability to lift, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift
Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or with a team
