AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a member of a diverse team comprising software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain experts, security professionals, and operations managers, you will collaborate across AWS to achieve safety, security, and efficiency, while upholding our commitment to the highest standards.
In this role, you will work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment to enhance network stability and sustainability and explore innovative automation and scaling methods. Your responsibilities will involve scaling support across various data center locations and managing day-to-day capacity needs.
Assist in executing projects as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
Use experience in large-scale networks for effective implementation and troubleshooting.
Engage in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with regular peer and customer interaction.
Follow best practices and refine operational procedures associated with AWS's extensive network infrastructure.
Physical Requirements:
Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds regularly; participate in group lifts for weights above 41 pounds.
Work in a 24/7 environment, participating in primary responder rotations and after-hours support as needed.
Navigate cramped, elevated, and noisy settings with ease.
Engage in bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours daily.
Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitations.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage workflows through ticketing systems to address customer requests and projects efficiently.
Collaborate with stakeholders to eliminate project obstacles.
Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and cords.
Specify power and cooling requirements and oversee hardware racking and stacking for new equipment.
Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
Travel within and outside the regional work area is required. A reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license are necessary for travel, as no company transportation will be provided.

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of experience in technical or vocational roles such as Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, or Data Center Operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in data centers and industry-standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
Familiarity with network cabling, optical types, and testing equipment.
Proficiency with tools for network troubleshooting, like VFLs, OTDR, and power meters.
Understanding of infrastructure technologies such as Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.
Knowledge of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common Networking Protocols (BGP, OSPF).

The base pay for this position ranges from $47,800/year to $106,700/year, depending on location and experience. Amazon offers a full range of benefits and total compensation packages.
