The process of splicing fibers is crucial for the construction, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks.

Job Description

Willing to work 7 on 7 off Sunday - Saturday. Are you a skilled Fiber Splicer looking to join a dynamic team that's at the forefront of the telecommunications industry? If you're passionate about fiber optics and have a knack for precision, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Fiber Optic Splicing: Efficiently splice and terminate fiber optic cables to ensure optimal performance and minimal signal loss.

Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot fiber optic issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize service disruptions.

Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks to guarantee that splicing work meets industry standards and our company's high-quality expectations.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of splice locations, cable routes, and other relevant data for future reference.

Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on splicing equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.

Collaboration: Collaborate with the network engineering and operations teams to coordinate and execute fiber optic projects efficiently.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

Experience: Proven experience in fiber optic splicing, with a minimum of [X years] of hands-on experience.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as FOA (Fiber Optic Association) or equivalent are a plus.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in using splicing equipment, fusion splicing, and OTDR testing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Per diem 60.00 a day

Expected hours: 70-84hr a week
