Salary Range: $51,500-$75,000 per year (12 month position)
Pay within this range is based on experience and education

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide students with sound clinical programs to meet their Occupational Therapy needs as outlined on their Individual Education Plan (IEP)
Conduct clinical programs in individual and/or group sessions as per the IEP
Provide on-going consultation, training, and support for classroom staff to carry over therapeutic programs
Provide students with appropriate sensory motor programs
Work cooperatively with team members in the evaluation and development of prescriptive feeding programs designed to improve oral motor abilities
Attend various discipline related meetings and in-services (e.g. team meetings, department meetings, program meetings, staff development days)
Work closely with parents to provide appropriate home programs
Work cooperatively with the interdisciplinary team responsible for coordinating and implementing goals and recommendations for each student
Design and/or obtain adaptive positioning systems necessary to provide proper alignment and facilitate independent movement patterns (e.g. wheel chairs, standers)
Participate in the design and/or modification of adaptive equipment or devices (e.g. utensils, switches)
Maintain written documentation in accordance with departmental and agency regulations
Understand the psychological, social and medical characteristics of the population served
Provide clinical instruction for future therapists
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
NYS Occupational Therapy license (or in pursuit of)
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Prior experience in Occupational Therapy
