Title:Control Systems (Field Instruments) Engineer
KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Control Systems (Field Instruments) Engineer to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia. This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas. The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.
The Control Systems (Field Instruments) Engineer will prepare field instrument specifications, datasheets, and procurement documents. This role will also execute technical evaluation of field instruments like control valves, shutdown valves, flow instruments, level instruments, pressure instruments, analyzers, etc.
Responsibilities:
Perform preliminary sizing calculations for Control valves, Orifice plates, Safety valves and other inline instruments
Prepare instrument list, IO list, and other deliverables from Hexagon SPI/AVEVA instrumentation
Generate control narratives, cause & effect, system block diagrams
Review instrumentation in mechanical packages and provide inputs, perform vendor offer evaluation, vendor drawing review, etc.
Provide ICSS-related inputs to the ICSS Package Lead
Participate in HAZOP, LOPA, KOM, design reviews, testing, etc.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Control Systems, Instrumentation engineering or related field
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in I&C Engineering/Design of Hydrocarbon or LNG (preferred) Oil & Gas Processing Facilities / Wellhead platforms with average experience at 10 + years
Working knowledge of Hexagon SPI (admin or super user highly preferred)
Strong knowledge of control system architecture and functionality
Possess excellent leadership qualities along with highly proficient communication skills
Proven ability from previous projects to understand client and project requirements and meet the project expectations in terms of quality and schedule
