Role Overview
As an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in shaping project success from the start—identifying opportunities, preparing detailed cost analyses, and supporting operations through the full project life cycle. Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new bidding opportunities aligned with company priorities
Prepare mechanical and HVAC estimates with precision using industry-standard tools and methods
Review project specifications and drawings to ensure full compliance and accuracy
Attend site visits, pre-bid, and pre-proposal meetings
Deliver proposals, follow up with clients, and strengthen long-term relationships
Collaborate with operations and project management teams during project turnover
Conduct cost analyses, track scope changes, and participate in post-job review meetings
Support continuous improvement initiatives in estimating accuracy and efficiency
Success Metrics

You’re an analytical and relationship-oriented professional with a solid background in mechanical or HVAC estimating. You’re motivated by accuracy, efficiency, and the satisfaction of seeing your estimates turn into successful projects. You communicate clearly, handle multiple deadlines with composure, and enjoy being part of a collaborative, high-performing team.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical or HVAC estimating
Strong understanding of plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems
Proficiency with Windows-based estimating tools; Quickpen experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints
Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with excellent communication skills
Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure and meet deadlines
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
