As our Technical Sales Trainee at Danfoss Drives, you’ll play a key role in connecting advanced power electronics with real-world customer needs

Your mission: to develop deep technical expertise in electrification and frequency converters while learning how to turn that knowledge into impactful customer solutions

Your impact? You’ll help shape the next generation of sustainable, energy-efficient systems—empowering industries and marine applications to use resources smarter. Working closely with our Sales and Technical Specialist teams, you’ll gain firsthand experience from office to field, contributing to projects that drive the global green transition.

Position is located in Holmestrand, Norway

What You’ll Be Doing

Build deep technical knowledge of power electronics, frequency converters, and marine electrification through structured training and mentorship.

Support customers and integrators by translating technical requirements into effective product and system solutions.

Collaborate across teams—from Sales to Technical Application Specialists—on site visits, proposals, and project delivery.

Develop commercial insight by contributing to sales offers, customer relationships, and stakeholder management.

Grow continuously, leveraging dedicated training, coaching, and international exposure—including time at Danfoss’ global headquarters in Denmark.

What We're Looking For

A technical driven person with electrical background and education.

Curious and solution-driven mindset—you enjoy exploring how and why things work and finding better ways to solve challenges.

Collaborative approach, thriving in cross-functional, multicultural environments.

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Eagerness to learn and adapt, with flexibility to take on new challenges in a fast-evolving, global organization.

Technical Sales Trainee Program

Danfoss Drives designed a program for trainees who are technical driven but also enjoy the interaction with our electrical integrators and end-users. We want to give you the opportunity to grow your technical knowledge in frequency converters and introduce you in the world of electrification. You will be part of the sales team. New in this program is the cross collaboration with our technical specialists. This addition ensures that you will not only see offices during the year but also visit the applications on site.

After your onboarding in the Norwegian Sales team and training by our technical specialists you will be introduced in our global organisation at our headquarter in Denmark.
