Travel RN Job Details

Location: Columbus, OH 43210 – Ohio nursing jobs

Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Tele – Oncology (Gynecology and Urology)

Contract Length: 13-16 weeks

Start Date: December 15, 2025

End Date: April 6, 2026

Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Hours per Week: 36

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940 - $1990

Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Unit: 10 James, Gynecology and Urology

Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics

Staffing Ratios: Target 1:4, may flex to 1:5

Orientation: Comprehensive, including dayshift and on-unit preceptorship

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – valid compact or Ohio state license required

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele nursing experience

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

Experience with EPIC or other computerized charting systems

Preferred: Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy certification

Ability to provide two professional references (including one from a manager/director or formal leader)

RN Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatric oncology patients (endometrial, bladder, renal, ovarian, cervical cancer)

Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions

Participate in clinical trials and assist with data collection and documentation

Perform specialized procedures (brachytherapy, neobladder care, continuous bladder irrigation)

Implement infection prevention protocols and patient falls management

Monitor telemetry readings, interpret and manage dysrhythmias

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and utilize rapid response resources

Manage feeding tubes, IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line maintenance

Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed

Utilize EPIC for accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes
