Sales Manager

We are a leading recruiting company in Sri Lanka, we are looking for a Sales Manager for a distribution company based in Colombo. The ideal candidate will combine strong sales expertise with technical knowledge of wood coatings and finishes suited for tropical environments. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for delivering results.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business growth and increase market share.

Identify new business opportunities and manage relationships with existing key clients and distributors.

Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and client training sessions.

Provide expert consultation on timber coating solutions suitable for tropical conditions.

Collaborate with technical and R&D teams to ensure product quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to support business strategy.

Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to management.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or technical support for timber paints, wood coatings, or related products (preferably in the Maldives).

Strong understanding of wood substrates, finishes, and performance requirements in tropical climates.

Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working in a multicultural environment.

Willingness to travel extensively across the islands as required.
