Description
We are seeking a Business Data Analyst to join our team, focused on driving operational excellence through actionable insights across pharmacy operations and supply chain. This role is essential in supporting internal business partners, designing reporting solutions, and strengthening a data-driven culture throughout our best-in-class digital pharmacy.
As a member of the Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Data Science team, this position will collaborate with Pharmacy, Call Center, and Supply Chain leaders to deliver scalable analytics, automate reporting, and surface insights that improve efficiency, compliance, and patient experience. The role reports to the Executive Director of Data Strategy and requires a strong mix of business acumen and technical expertise.
Requirements
Internal Analytics & Reporting
Design and implement self-service reporting views for Pharmacy and Supply Chain operations.
Build and maintain dashboards to monitor operational KPIs, SLA/MSA performance, and service quality measures.
Develop and implement metrics for measuring performance, operational efficiency, service level management and customer experience
Automate reporting workflows and create real-time alerts for quality and compliance events.
Partner with department heads to identify and track success metrics, real-time performance monitoring and service level management
Integrate with product development and business intelligence initiatives. Training & Enablement
Lead training programs for business users on self-service & analytics tools
Build and maintain a data dictionary and measurement definitions
Develope documentation and user guides for internal reporting and dashboards
Mentor business partners in data analysis best practices
Build and maintain a knowledge base for common data requests and analyses Process Optimization:
Actively lead and participate in change control and process optimization, work with business partners on reporting and analytics to SOPs
Identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis and drive data driven decisions
Actively partner and collaborate with various internal business partners to solve complex problems, provide key insights on day-to-day operations, provide insight for future planning, growth
Ensure data accuracy, governance, and system reliability across pharmacy and supply chain systems
Develop and maintain business and data quality monitoring processes Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in pharmacy operations and business data analytics
Proven track record of implementing self-service analytics solutions
Strong project management and process improvement skills
Deep knowledge of pharmacy operational models, integrated with call center and supply chain. Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, FDA 21 CFR, Board of Pharmacy, QMS, SOC 2) and ability to create alerts and monitoring.
Technical Skills:
Advanced analytics and reporting skills
Advanced skills in SQL and Python
Business intelligence tools (Looker, Domo, Metabase, Tableau)
Deep understanding of data modeling and architecture
Familiarity with Pharmacy data structures and terminology
Experience with pharmacy and supply chain platforms: Pharmacy Management Systems, prescription queues, logistics/shipping systems, multi-state compliance
Ability to manage and maintain a roadmap, familiar with iterative and agile methodologies
Advanced knowledge of AI, Prompt Engineering, Analytics, Batch, Streaming, webhooks Soft Skills:
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.

Create scalable solutions for performance tracking Call Center and Pharmacy Industry Knowledge:
Deep understanding of pharmacy operations and workflows with integration to call center and supply chain
Digital Pharmacy Landscape: core business model prescription lifecycle management. digital checkout, automation, order, fill, refill, large and small volume products, cold chain and service delivery
Prescription Lifecycle: Creation, e-prescription, claims, payment, dispensing, delivery and other interventions like physician counseling, patient counseling, Authorization, Refills and adherence.
Customer Journey/Service Levels: next day delivery metrics, customer satisfaction excellence and transactional service level agreements
Routing and Planning: Nationwide logistics and shipping to meet service level agreements, multiple queues and packaging needs, integration into supply chain and fulfillment
Escalation, Knowledge Base, AEPC, KPI-driven escalation rules, content management, consent
Technology: Pharmacy Management Systems, Call Center and Supply Chain integration, Portals, Prescription Queues, Multi State Rules, Packaging requirements
Knowledge of compliance requirements: Privacy, HIPAA, FDA 21 CFR 210, 211, 11, Board of Pharmacy, QMS, CAPA, SOC 2, OSHA, State Board, etc
Experience with managing metrics, measures and KPIs used in Pharmacy and Supply Chain
Experience with digital automation and pharmacy operations Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Health Informatics/Pharmacy Informatics, Pharmacy Operations/Business Administration or related field
Relevant certifications in analytics or CPHR-Data, HIPAA compliance a Plus Work Environment:
