Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and strong Med/Surg experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a 36-bed Med/Surg/Ortho unit within a hospital setting

Patient ratios are typically 1:5 with a CNA, or 1:4 when CNA coverage is unavailable

Care for a medical-surgical and orthopedic patient population

Requires floating to ED/ICU to care for medical holds only

12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am

Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed

EPIC EMR experience required

Navy blue scrubs are required

Must demonstrate confidence, independence, resilience, and strong change management skills

The role requires social candidates who can collaborate with the team

COVID-19 vaccine is not required but subject to change

First time travelers are eligible for this position

Requirements

Active IL RN license is required (no pending or temporary licenses accepted)

Current AHA BLS certification required

Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience required

Experience with EPIC charting is required

Must live more than 40 miles from the facility to be eligible
