Production Assembly Supervisor – Radiology / X-Ray / CT Scan Equipment

Department:

Manufacturing / Production (Medical Imaging Devices)

Location:

Vapi, Gujarat

Reports To:

Production Manager – Radiology Systems.

Job Purpose:

To supervise and coordinate the assembly, integration, and testing activities of radiology imaging systems (X-Ray, C-Arm, CT scan & DR System), ensuring production efficiency, adherence to quality standards, and timely delivery of high-precision medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production & Assembly Management

Supervise daily assembly operations of radiology and imaging systems including X-Ray, C-Arm, CT equipment & DR.

Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and assembly checklists.

Coordinate with planning, procurement, and stores for material availability and production scheduling.

Monitor production targets, yield rates, and efficiency KPIs.

2. Quality & Compliance

Ensure strict compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, and other regulatory requirements.

Implement in-process quality checks and final inspection protocols.

Collaborate with Quality Assurance for defect analysis, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and continuous improvement.

Maintain traceability documentation for critical components and sub-assemblies.

3. Technical Support

Troubleshoot assembly or integration issues in electrical, electronic, and mechanical subsystems.

Work with R&D and Design teams to resolve technical problems and support design transfer to production.

Suggest process improvements and contribute to DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly).

4. Team Leadership

Lead, train, and guide assembly operators and technicians on technical skills and safety practices.

Allocate manpower effectively across workstations.

Conduct daily shift briefings and ensure discipline, productivity, and workplace safety.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain production records, assembly logs, test data sheets, and non-conformance reports.

Prepare daily/weekly production reports and update management on output, downtime, and rework.

Support internal and external audits with required documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering.

5–10 years of experience in production or assembly of medical imaging systems, medical electronics, or high-precision electro-mechanical equipment.

Hands-on exposure to X-Ray tube integration, detector assembly, high-voltage power supplies, and image processing modules preferred.

Experience with ERP systems and lean manufacturing tools.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical assembly techniques.

Familiar with testing and calibration of imaging systems.

Good understanding of cleanroom and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) practices.

Leadership and team management skills.

Analytical, detail-oriented, and quality-focused.

Good communication and coordination skills.
