The Opportunity
As a Lead Business Analyst, you will play a vital role in enhancing our university's processes. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of ITS Governance and Portfolio Management, you will be the key liaison between the ITS department and other university units. You will engage with teams to understand their needs, document requirements, and facilitate discussions that drive efficiency and innovation.
What You'll Do:
Conduct requirements identification and prioritization using proven methodologies; manage scoping efforts in both Waterfall and Agile environments.
Lead discussions with business and technology partners to elicit and document requirements, crafting detailed business case proposals.
Create comprehensive documentation, including process models, use cases, epics, user stories, and requirements specifications.
Establish a baseline for requirements and manage changes diligently.
Ensure solutions align with requirements by managing a requirements traceability matrix and validating outcomes.
Utilize advanced modeling techniques to produce clear diagrams, models, and prototypes that represent system interactions and business processes.
Coordinate testing efforts to verify alignment with business needs and drive process improvements through technology insights.
Provide expert consultative support to stakeholders for achieving desired business outcomes.
Facilitate the transition of solutions into operational status, ensuring smooth handovers from development.
Communicate effectively between functional and technical teams to ensure shared understanding of objectives and capabilities.
Engage with vendors and SNHU staff to assess vendor solutions and performance in relation to university needs.
Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure clear roles and enhance team efficiency.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
What We're Looking For:
A minimum of 7 years' experience in business process analysis, enterprise architecture, application development, or data management.
Strong understanding of business systems, data models, and troubleshooting within production environments.
Project management experience with familiarity in methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
Experience with the software/system development lifecycle and integration processes.
Knowledge of current technology and data models used for business operations and reporting.
Proficient in process modeling techniques.

Compensation
The annual salary for this position ranges from $85,563.00 to $136,928.00, with the target hiring range set between $94,548.00 and $127,918.00 based on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
