Overview
Join an esteemed banking client as a Remote Information Security Engineer. This is a contract position offering competitive hourly rates between $60 - $72/hr. Be part of a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing customer identity services.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain Ping Directory architecture to enhance customer identity services.
Define security and performance standards for directory services and identity access management (IAM) integrations.
Act as a subject matter expert and consultant on projects related to identity services.
Work collaboratively with IT and Information Security teams to integrate Ping Directory with authentication, single sign-on (SSO), and federation solutions.
Monitor and optimize the performance, replication, and availability of directory services.
Create and uphold standards, procedures, and guidelines for directory services and IAM operations.
Conduct root cause analysis and remediation for identity-related incidents and vulnerabilities.
Support audit activities and compliance efforts by providing technical documentation and evidence of controls.
Stay updated on identity security threats, emerging technologies, and best practices in the field.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and offshore teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent; a Master's is advantageous.
8+ years of IT experience, with at least 4 years specializing in Ping Directory or similar LDAP-based directory services.
Deep understanding of identity and access management principles, including authentication, authorization, and federation.
Experience with the Ping Identity suite (PingDirectory, PingFederate).
Proficient in integrating on-premises or hybrid cloud environments with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux systems.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Shell and Python for automation and integration tasks.
Knowledge of distributed computing concepts and directory replication strategies.
Experience with offshore teams and within regulated environments, particularly financial services, is a plus.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Ping Identity certifications are preferred.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
