Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (8+ years)

About the Role (Part time is fine for the right candidate!)

Aurus is building a scalable, intelligent document processing platform leveraging React, Django, PostgreSQL, and Azure Document Intelligence. We’re looking for a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer — someone who lives and breathes automation, reliability, and scalable architecture.

You’ll architect, automate, and evolve our cloud backbone. This is not a maintenance role — it’s ownership of how our systems are designed, deployed, observed, and scaled across environments.

Responsibilities

Own cloud infrastructure — design, deploy, and optimize secure, highly available environments (primarily on Azure; multi-cloud experience valued).

Automate everything — infra as code (Terraform, ARM, Pulumi, or equivalent), CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and environment provisioning.

Build for scale — performance tuning, cost optimization, and fault-tolerant design for applications spanning React/Django/PostgreSQL.

Integrate and secure — work with app teams on integrating Azure Document Intelligence and related AI services.

Observe and improve — implement metrics, logging, and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, ELK, etc.)

Champion DevOps culture — mentor teams in automation, CI/CD best practices, and incident management.

Requirements

8+ years in Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps roles.

Deep expertise with at least one cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP); proven ability to work across environments.

Mastery of Infrastructure as Code and automation pipelines.

Strong knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience supporting full-stack apps (React, Django, PostgreSQL).

Familiarity with Azure Cognitive Services, especially Document Intelligence, is a plus.

Proven track record of designing systems for uptime, performance, and cost efficiency.

Nice to Have

Certifications in Azure/AWS/GCP (any is fine).

Exposure to microservices, service mesh, and observability tooling.

Prior experience building infra for AI/ML pipelines or document-processing systems.
