Minimum qualifications:

Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

9 years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, or controls experience in an industrial/commercial environment.

5 years of experience in a data center or facilities environment.

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Reliability Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance and in Engineering.

Experience communicating effectively with all levels of the organization, including executives.

Ability to forecast resource requirements in a data-driven way.

In this role, you will partner with the Google Data Center developing teams, hardware operations, network infrastructure, and third-party data center vendors and operators with a focus on operability, maintainability, and reliability.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Test and validate new processes and procedures for equipment operation.

Lead global compliance analysis and ensure adherence to Google's project and design standards.

Monitor systems operations and control site activities to minimize risk, and to ensure response to any excursions.

Ensure adherence to facility and maintenance programs while improving policies.

Develop strategies to minimize operational costs, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact.
