About the role
Seeking a skilled Web Application Developer to join a team supporting Customs and Border Protection operations. The ideal candidate will have strong front-end development experience, proficiency in Angular and .NET Core, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment. This role requires active collaboration, problem-solving skills, and adherence to security and compliance standards, with on-site work in Ashburn, VA. This role is a 6-month temp-to-hire position.
Job Responsibilities
Design software tools and subsystems to support reuse and domain analysis.
Interpret software requirements and design specifications to code, integrate, and test software components.
Participate actively in Scrum meetings and Agile development processes.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, Section 508 accessibility, and enterprise architecture.
Collaborate with Instructional Designers and clients to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Maintain performance optimization and security updates for web applications. Required skills

Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience with front-end frameworks, such as Angular and React.
Experience with VS Code.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders across functional teams with Instructional Designers, graphic designers, and UX designers.
Experience with Agile software development methodologies and open-source software.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript environments (front-end development).
Familiarity with Python, AWS, and designing and building Chatbots is preferred.
Knowledge of AWS cloud management and code versioning tools like GitLab/GitHub or WinSCP.
508 testing experience using the ANDI Toolbar preferred.
Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning (ML), and robotic process automation (RPA) that can potentially improve the efficiency and effectiveness of CBP Applications.
Experience with CBP software.
Experience in containerization and cloud hosting with Amazon Cloud Services.
Working knowledge of the US Web Design system or a similar design system for implementing re-usable components.
Ability to maintain security updates, perform testing, and optimize performance.
Willingness to work onsite in Ashburn, VA, with core hours from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Adaptability to new technologies and compliance with cybersecurity and accessibility standards.
Proven ability to pass background investigation and obtain DHS Public Trust Clearance or DoD Top Secret Clearance.
