Position Type: Full-Time, Hybrid--Staff residing within the state of Ohio will be expected to attend meetings and events as required by their position or requested by their supervisor. These meetings may be held anywhere in Ohio, typically in Columbus.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to assume the newly created role of Program Coordinator for the Behavioral Health (BH) Respite Care Capacity Building Initiative. This is a new Alliance initiative to grow BH respite capacity in three identified regions in Ohio: Logan-Champaign, Belmont-Harrison-Monroe, and Paint Valley (Highland-Pike-Fayette-Pickaway-Ross). This position, which reports to the Program Manager of Behavioral Health Services, is ideally suited for an individual who possesses a strong passion for advancing the well-being of youth with behavioral health needs and excels at cultivating robust relationships with community stakeholders and key professionals.

The Coordinator will be accountable for implementing a comprehensive capacity building initiative across three Regions, focused on expanding access to behavioral health respite care services for youth and families. This role requires coordination of multiple stakeholders including Ohio Department of Behavioral Health certified agencies, community partners and stakeholders, families, institutions of higher education, and regional community liaisons.

This newly created position will shape a new initiative, and the candidate is expected to quickly learn and take ownership of all aspects of program coordination, from initial planning through implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Coordination: Oversee program implementation across three regions, including work plans, budgets, timelines, and milestones. This includes monitoring program benchmarks, target outcome measures, and budgets to ensure efficient program management and implementation of strategies to achieve goals. The coordinator will ensure program materials remain meaningful and up to date.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Work closely with three regional community liaisons to coordinate activities and align strategies across all regions. The coordinator will ensure diverse stakeholder input and engagement in capacity building strategies through partnerships with regional stakeholders. The coordinator will support community liaisons with regional outreach including establishing and facilitating a multi-stakeholder advisory committee with regional representation to inform program priorities, strategies, and benchmarks.

Awareness & Outreach: Oversee regional awareness events and campaigns designed to reach target stakeholder audiences. The coordinator will develop and disseminate tailored respite care best practices, training, recruitment, or other toolkits as identified through program planning and needs assessment.

Technical Assistance & Capacity Building - Provide regional technical assistance to institutions of higher education and community behavioral health agencies in capacity building efforts. The coordinator will support workforce development initiatives including recruitment, retention, and training of respite care providers, including targeted outreach to expand the number of agencies and/or independent practitioner providing respite care services

Data, Evaluation & Quality Improvement: Partner with the internal Respite Team and Data Team to coordinate data collection and analysis, including referral, service access, and conversion rates. The coordinator will track and report on key performance indicators across all program goals and support continuous quality improvement through regular analysis and strategy adjustment.

External Representation & Development: Represent the Alliance on committees and at community events as needed and contribute to programmatic growth, resource development, and policy development as appropriate

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Public health, Business Administration or related field

Project management/program coordination experience

A minimum of three years of professional work experience in social services, health care, business administration, or a related field

A commitment to advancing equity

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized; resourceful and proactive; pays close attention to detail

Strong time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple concurrent deadlines

Ability to collaborate with multiple teams of people, simultaneously

Knowledge of community engagement strategies

Strong customer service orientation and empathy for families facing challenges

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Able to pivot strategies and respond to changing circumstances while maintaining focus on core goals

Willing to travel regularly across all three regions and participate in program education and awareness opportunities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Ability to quickly gain proficiency using other software and web-based platforms as needed

High Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 products (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Copilot)

Preferred:

Experience in behavioral health respite care, child welfare, and/or behavioral health systems

Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings

Experience developing training materials and conducting presentations
