We are looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Regency Park, with The Smith’s Snackfood Company on Day Shift.
Location: Regency Park
Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 2:30pm, Friday 6:00am to midday.
Position: Permanent Full Time

Responsibilities
Lead shift changeover meetings
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
Able to work from complex instructions and work independently or in a team.
Skilled in identifying faults and taking corrective action.
Experienced in leadership tasks including coaching and performance monitoring.
Committed to achieving planned schedule work and manage Contractors
Perform trouble shooting, planned preventive maintenance, minor installations, commissioning work & corrective maintenance on plant and equipment
Update and extract data from the Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP)
Ability to co-ordinate your own workload in a team environment, under limited supervision
Assign and distribute work effectively across the team, ensuring the team adheres to all company policies and procedures
Assist to identify, document, and implement improvements to maintenance work methods/procedures and to plant and equipment to improve machine availability, quality, and safety
Qualifications
Engineering qualifications to Trade certificate as a minimum
Experience in trouble shooting and fault finding
Ability to work autonomously and safely under pressure
Ability to solve problems using a systematic approach
A flexible attitude, willingness to work overtime, attend training and work on other shifts as required
Food industry experience would be an advantage
