Job Description
Ozark Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Long-Term Care team. In this role, you will provide direct and indirect resident care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN). Your primary responsibilities will include assisting residents with activities of daily living, providing personal care, ensuring their comfort, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide personal care and comfort measures, ensuring residents' dignity and privacy.
Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff promptly.
Assist with basic nursing procedures and tasks, including vital signs monitoring and medication reminders.
Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents.
Maintain a safe and clean environment by following infection control protocols and adhering to safety guidelines.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including nurses, therapists, and other CNAs, to provide comprehensive care.
Attend in-service education programs and participate in ongoing training opportunities to maintain current knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program.
Current certification as a CNA in the state of practice.
Previous experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to care for elderly residents.
