Position Overview

The Manual Welder is responsible for fabricating metal parts and assemblies by operating welding machines and applying MIG welding techniques. This role requires adherence to welding standards, blueprint reading, equipment operation, and quality inspections to ensure all work meets specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Follow WPS weld standards and company safety protocols.

Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical documents.

Set up, adjust, and operate weld machines, clamps, fixtures, and related equipment.

Perform MIG welding, tacking, grinding, bending, or bolting to achieve required configurations.

Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure conformance with specifications.

Load/unload parts from robotic welders and place them in proper containers.

Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Successful completion of internal welding test.

Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and effective communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and procedure manuals.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED required.

3+ years welding experience; certificate or degree in welding .

Knowledge of fixtures, weld setup parameters (amps, volts, etc.), and basic computer skills.

Equipment Used

Welders, robotic welders, lifts, cranes, and related tools.
