Description
We are looking to add a skilled Diesel Mechanic to our mechanic crew. This position services and maintains our truck fleet on a regular basis. Our Diesel Mechanics possess the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the fleet according to safety standards. Support achievements of the business goals and objectives. A successful candidate will provide excellent communication and follow-up skills and have the ability to multi-task as needed. The schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday with flexibility.
Requirements
Diesel Mechanics will assess, evaluate, and repair Diesel Engine Diagnostics on Vehicles.
Run Diagnostics on Diesel Engines to test Vehicle Components and evaluate necessary repairs.
Diesel Mechanics will Document any and all Diesel Repairs performed to ensure open lines of communication across all Departments.
Perform routine Maintenance and Diesel Engine Tests as a preventative measure to ensure the longevity of Diesel Engines.
Diesel Mechanics will perform safety inspections on Vehicle equipment, documenting accordingly.
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as Company Policies and Procedures.
Keep Diesel Mechanic Repair tools and materials ready by completing regular Inventory Checks and ordering supplies as needed.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned to the Diesel Mechanics as needed. Schedule is 4, 10 hours days.
Education and Experience:
Either one year or more of mechanical experience or graduate of an accredited diesel program
Either a high school diploma or GED
Current and valid driver's license - CDL Class A
Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Their own toolbox with hand tools
Self-motivated and solution minded
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
