Description

Our client, a leader in commercial real estate, is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Technician to support building operations, equipment installations, and general maintenance in a data center setting in New Albany, OH. This is a full-time, onsite position operating Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday from 6:30am-7:00pm with the possibility for overtime. This position starts as a 6-week contract opportunity and pays $23-25.50 per hour based on experience. In this position you will be working as part of a 2-3 person team in a hands-on construction environment. Outdoor work is common, and proper PPE is required at all times. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of general maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with basic electrical systems. Experience in lockout/tagout procedures and safety certifications are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily building start-up tasks

Install new equipment and perform initial system hook-ups

Complete repetitive maintenance tasks across multiple buildings or job sites

Work outdoors and indoors with proper PPE and safety compliance

Troubleshoot and resolve general mechanical or electrical issues

Follow basic safety protocols and assist with lockout/tagout procedures Qualifications

3-5 years of general maintenance experience

Comfortable working in a construction environment

High school diploma or GED

Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on mechanical ability

Capable of working independently and as part of a small team

Willingness to work outdoors and in variable conditions Nice to Have

Experience with lockout/tagout procedures

Basic electrical experience

NFP 70E safety certification (preferred)

CPR certification

Electrical certification (preferred)
