The Experienced Accountant will play a crucial role in managing financial and accounting activities within a grocery division of McLane Company, Inc. This role also encompasses supervisory and leadership responsibilities over the accounting team.

Your Responsibilities as an Experienced Accountant:
Oversee all aspects of financial reporting for the division, including:
Preparation and management of financial statements and advanced balance sheet reconciliations.
Support departments in expense management through review and analysis.
Establish, maintain, and manage fixed assets.
Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and McLane accounting policies and best practices.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
Handle preparation, filing, and payment of product excise taxes, including:
Forecasting and facilitating the purchase of excise tax indicia.
Meeting physical security and internal control objectives.
Facilitating jurisdictional audit requests.
Supervise and train clerical staff within the accounting department.
Qualifications To Join Our Team:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
CPA or CPA-in-progress is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite is a plus.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to organize, forecast, and meet deadlines.
Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English to perform job-related tasks effectively.

Office environment.
Interaction with cigarette stamping and inventory control in a distribution center setting.
