Provides high-level administrative support to the Director of Student Life and acts as a liaison between Student Life and other administrative offices of the colleges and other matters relating to student life experience, student organizations, student activities, student event planning, Campus Groups, support to the Yearbook and The Pulse staff. Prepares routine correspondence and maintains office files. Report student concerns to the Director. Processes invoices, checks source documents and verifies financial transactions. Update Student Life intranet and website pages. Serves as advisor to the Pre-Alumni Association. Assists to promotes, organizes, schedules and supervises student intramural/recreational programs. Assist with the annual Student Organization Leadership Training, Advisors Training, and Risk Management Training Assists as needed with the operation of the Ross Fitness Center. Creates and distributes monthly calendar of events, both in print and electronically. Serves as a back-up in the absence of the Director.

Daly Operations

• Provides administrative support, including office management and processing of financial paperwork, to the Director of Student Life.

• Serves as a principal liaison between student organization leaders, administrative offices of the College, and Student Life.

• Assists student leaders with event planning, as needed.

• Advises student leaders and oversees professional development and student leadership activities such as the annual Student Leadership Training Workshop and publication of the Student Leadership Resource Manual.

• Coordinates the annual Student Organization Fair.

• Serves as primary advisor to the “The Pulse” student newsletter.

• Serves as the advisor to the Pre-Alumni Association.

• Coordinates the monthly Student Life Committee meetings in conjunction with the Pre-Alumni Association President, including preparing the minutes of each meeting and submission of a summary report at each Board of Trustees meeting.

• Assists with the compilation and publication of the annual Student Handbook and student organization promotional materials.

• Coordinates the annual Student Organization Fair

• Oversees social media accounts for Student Affairs

• Publishes the monthly Student Activity Calendar

• Performs clerical and administrative support tasks, including creation, typing, and editing of program correspondence, purchasing documents, reports, program handbooks, and other publications.

• Produce and analyze reports to analyze program and event data

• May perform specialized activities of a programmatic nature in direct support of the accomplishment of program objectives and protocol (Ross Fitness Center)

• Ensure compliance with University policies and procedures and applicable legal rules and regulations

• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques.

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of directly related experience are required. Master’s degree preferred.
