Lead Accountant

We are looking for a Lead Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities

Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements and reports

Ensure compliance with accounting processes, timelines, and internal controls

Responsible for the review and maintenance of detailed analysis of balance sheet accounts and reconciliation to the general ledger on a monthly basis

Ensure financial controls in place are operating effectively and makes improvements where needed; recognize if procedures are not followed and takes corrective action

Train and mentor junior accountants on accounting best practices

Ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance

5+ years of accounting experience

Strong understanding of GAAP

Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills

Strong attention to detail
