Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Billing Analyst to work in the Columbus area. This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Job Summary:
The Billing Analyst is responsible for billing operations, analysis, and customer service for large accounts. This role serves as a liaison between utilities, internal departments, and external customers to resolve both routine and complex billing inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
Essential Job Functions & Tasks:
Verify accuracy of billing data; review and analyze individual accounts to make independent billing decisions.
Serve as the primary contact for large account billing management through proactive communication with Sales and Customers.
Identify billing discrepancies, determine root causes, and take corrective actions.
Create manual invoices at the customer level while ensuring data integrity.
Review, analyze, and resolve unbilled cycles.
Communicate and maintain relationships with utilities to troubleshoot issues and verify billing data.
Collaborate with IT to enhance system-driven automation and process efficiency.
Prepare, update, and analyze reports; draw data-driven conclusions.
Comprehend and interpret EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions.
Ensure SOX compliance and assist with the monthly close process.
Work closely with the Pricing team to align billing with pricing structures and market changes.
Provide high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain process documentation and training materials.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required (Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of billing, finance, or related business experience.
Must have Excel experience.
Must have billing experience.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access for data analysis.
Technical understanding of information systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey technical and financial information clearly.
Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels.
Energy industry background or billing experience in a utility or energy company is highly desirable.
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and quality of work.
Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
