Revenue & A/R Accountant

A well-funded and publicly traded med tech company in Montgomery County is looking for an Accountant to support its continued growth. This position is mostly remote, one day a week in the office, with complimentary lunch that day. There is a great company culture and the opportunity to expand duties and responsibilities over time.

The Revenue and A/R Accountant supports the accounting supervisor with recording transactions, reconciliations, analysis and collections related to all sales channels, supports sales teams in processing day-to-day orders and assists with month-end closing work, including preparing journal entries and reconciling shipping reports and balance sheet accounts. In addition, the Accountant will maintain and update budget vs. actual revenue models, as needed, assist with maintaining control environment and support the audit function as it relates to the order to cash cycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly results

Generally support the accounting supervisor with all sales channels in the order-to-cash cycle

Identify, suggest, and adhere to internal control policies and procedures

Perform revenue, receivable, cash posting & reconciliation, other general GL-based month-end close responsibilities as it relates to commercial operations

Assist with consignment orders and accounting, including collections efforts with customers

Assist with insurance reimbursements through the TEBRA system

Help expand and maintain ERP system

Record and review accounting transactions following the company's internal control processes

Provide assistance for special accounting projects, as needed QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience is ideal

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting

Accounts Receivable experience is a plus

CPA license is a plus

Interest in accounting function of a publicly traded company

Analytical skills and a sound understanding of accounting principals

Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and effective record keeping

Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize work to meet challenging deadlines

Excellent written and oral communication and a positive, team-oriented attitude Targeting $80 to $90k
