This position will play a critical role in delivering successful solutions by partnering with business groups and the other IT staff to improve the business' operational agility through optimizing usage of the ERP system, enhancing the organization's Business Intelligence capabilities and ensuring timely, simple and consistent reporting is delivered to stakeholders as needed.
Major Responsibilities:
Partner with stakeholders, process specialists and business groups to elicit and document requirements; translate non-technical requirements into technical business requirements.
Use current knowledge of business and technology to recommend system and process improvements.
Partner with business departmental teams to define and document requirements for new metrics and reports.
Perform ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports and BI solutions.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, abstract from low-level information to a general understanding, and work with the user community to uncover unmet business needs.
Understand existing and anticipated ERP/BI functionality offerings that meet business demand.
Work closely with third-party vendors including software providers, implementation partners and consultants.
Assist with user acceptance testing requirements for existing and new ERP/BI systems and modules.
Partner with key strategic solutions partners for small and large-scale engagements to help realize the vision of the Department.
Manage the configuration and setup of ERP and BI-related solutions.
Analyze ERP/BI-related system activity by assessing system utilization, employee productivity, and trends among key quality attributes.
Education/Training:
Degree: Bachelor's Degree (Desired - will substitute experience)
Major: Information Technology or relevant Business specialty
Experience:
5-10 years of functional experience working with ERP systems and custom reporting/BI solutions.
Technical Skills (Required):
Demonstrated knowledge in ERP-related functional modules (IFS Applications experience strongly preferred)
Demonstrated proficiency in configuration and functional setups for ERP systems
Domain knowledge of enterprise-wide ERP-related business and technical processes (including, but not necessarily limited to Sales, Finance, HR, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain)
Proficiency with eliciting ERP and BI integration requirements
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
Report design and development experience Technical Skills (Desired):
Ability to generate business unit and enterprise-wide reports using reporting technologies (e.g. Crystal Reports, PowerBI)
Oracle/MS SQL Server experience
Database/Data Warehouse experience General Skills:
Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes and procedures
