Organizational Expectation Of Employee

Adhere to organizational policies and procedures; act as a leader within and outside the organization; perform duties as workload necessitates; maintain a positive and respectful attitude; communicate regularly with supervisor/staff about department or branch issues; demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and an ability to prioritize workload; consistently report to work on time prepared to perform duties of the position; meet or exceed department productivity and efficiency standards; maintain confidentiality in reference to SMBT and its business, as well as the affairs of bank customers; attend and participate in staff, department, and other meetings, as required. All other duties and responsibilities are assigned.

Summary

To promote and support the strategic plan and mission of Southern Michigan Bank and Trust. Performs a variety of duties to provide outstanding customer service and to develop and retain customer relationships while explaining and delivering bank products and services. Directly supervising 1-20 employees. Maintain a profitable and efficient office and provide ongoing training and communication to staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Direct daily operational aspects of the branch

Prepare and allocate budgeted funds

Mentor, develop, and grow employees by providing training, coaching, developing, and motivation

Assess the local market and identify current and prospective sales opportunities

Develop and retain deposit growth

Promptly address employee and customer satisfaction issues

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position is primarily responsible for growing and maintaining deposit growth, resolving problems, and pursuing sales opportunities. Required needs include but are not limited to, empathetic listening skills, strong personal skills along with a sincere desire to assist internal and external customers while maintaining confidentiality and protecting the bank's interests.
