About the Role
We're looking for a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join our team and help build the next generation of cloud-based applications. You'll work at the intersection of design and engineering, crafting elegant user experiences that push the boundaries of what's possible in modern web applications.
Location: Must be able to commute to the Herndon, VA office once a week.
What You'll Do
Build exceptional user experiences by developing modern, responsive frontend applications, microsites using cutting-edge technologies and frameworks
Collaborate cross-functionally with UX/UI designers, and other engineers to deliver seamless, end-to-end solutions
Architect for scale by creating reusable component libraries and frontend frameworks that accelerate development across the organization
Drive innovation by embracing emerging web standards, championing best practices, and exploring the frontiers of browser capabilities
What We're Looking For
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent practical experience
Experience: 2+ years of professional web development experience, ideally with cloud-based SaaS products
Core Technologies:
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
Hands-on experience building Single Page Applications (Angular preferred)
Expert-level knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling approaches
Deep understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development
API Integration: Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
Cross-browser Expertise: Solid grasp of browser compatibility issues and effective solutions
Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and debugging skills with a solution-oriented mindset
Agile Mindset: Experience working in agile/scrum environments with continuous delivery practices
Learning Orientation: Self-motivated learner who stays current with evolving web technologies
Nice to Have
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, AWS DynamoDB)
Familiarity with modern frontend tooling (Webpack, npm/yarn)
Knowledge of state management patterns and libraries
Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
