ROLE

We are seeking a Data Engineer with 4-7 years experience in SQL & GCP.

OVERVIEW

We are looking for a go-getter person who can define:

Analytic strategies to meet the demands of business requirements

Technical requirements of the analytic solutions

Data requirements of the analytic solution processes

The person will be part of the Data Engineering team for a major Insurance client. He/ She will work with different stakeholders as SME for data engineering

Acquire data from primary or secondary sources, implement data collection systems and maintain databases.

Identify, develop and implement reporting and analytic tools

Develop dashboards for visual representation of performance using visual reporting tools

Engages in technical problem solving across multiple technologies; often needs to develop new solutions

A typical day will involve working with stakeholders in an individual contributor capacity.

A suitable candidate should have 4-7 years of experience in a similar role and should possess a go-getter attitude. He/ She should be able to deal with ambiguity.

Experience in property and casualty insurance/actuarial projects preferred. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLSETS

Common Skillsets:

4+ years of experience in analytics ETL and associated data engineering jobs.

Experience with Google Cloud Platform services

Excellent communication & presentation skills

Experience in managing SQL codes and collaborating with customers on model evolution

Good knowledge of SQL, Big Query and GCP, Good to have- Data modeling experience

Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client-ready deliverables with minimal or no supervision

Good communication skills for client interaction

Data Management Skillsets:

Ability to understand data models and identify ETL optimization opportunities. Exposure to ETL tools is preferred

Should have a strong grasp of advanced SQL functionalities (joins, nested queries, and procedures).

Strong ability to translate functional specifications/requirements to technical requirements CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelors/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply

Strong and in-depth understanding of DE Fundamentals

Data analysis experience

Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Able to work in fast fast-paced continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
