Seeking Experienced MERN Stack (React.js / MongoDB) Full-stack

One Community is a 100%-volunteer global sustainability organization. We're a software team of approximately 100 developers working on the 5 phases of this open source team management software:

The software (Highest Good Network App) is currently in use, so an experienced candidate can jump right in to development. Work is mostly independent and uses Slack for team help with problem solving.

React.js Position Requirements:

Strong proficiency in JavaScript (Especially in React.js)

Minimum 1+ years experience in MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) stack developing

Minimum 1+ years experience in version control system like GitHub

Must be available for at least 3 months with at least 10 hours each week

Excellent attention to detail

Strong creativity skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to debug and develop new functionality

Additional Beneficial Qualifications:

Experience executing full lifecycle software development and familiar with Agile development

Design and implementation experience with low-latency, high availability and performance applications

Experience with automated testing platforms and unit testing

Experience in deployment and cloud-like technology such as Microsoft Azure

Experience documenting and maintaining software functionality

Experience in large open-source projects

Large-scale team collaboration experience
