Telemetry RN Job Details

Location: Olathe, Kansas (Zip: 66061) – Kansas nursing jobs

Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Telemetry Unit (4N Cardiac)

Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract

Start Date: November 30, 2025

End Date: March 1, 2026

Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Hours per Week: 36

Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week; every other weekend required

Holiday Coverage: Required to work either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve or New Year's Day

Floating: Will float to all acute care units as needed

On-call: None

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1750–$1870 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry nursing experience

Active Kansas RN license

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Proficiency with TR Band post-procedure care, cardiac drips (Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem), and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation

EPIC EMR experience preferred

Ability to attend required orientation and training sessions

Nicotine-free workplace compliance

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients, responding promptly to changes in patient condition

Administer and titrate cardiac medications and drips as ordered

Provide post-procedure care for patients with TR Bands

Initiate and monitor Tikosyn/Sotalol therapy

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Float to other acute care units as needed

Document patient care accurately in EPIC EMR

Participate in required holiday and weekend rotations
