Our Darlington DC is ready to go live and we are now looking for a HR Manager to join our new team, supporting the DC to achieve operational excellence.

Position Summary: The HR Manager will have responsibility for providing HR, people and culture expertise across their designated Martin Brower site and departments within the UK and Ireland network. The role will deliver excellence in people solutions to drive performance and achieve key performance indicators to ensure world class service to our customers.
This role will:
Ensure a ‘people first’ vision and approach
Play a key role in driving the overall business objectives
Effectively partner and collaborate with the site General Manager, Assistant General Manager, site leadership team and other senior leaders in designated remit to drive excellence
Work in collaboration with managers regarding people related issues arising within designated departments, including involvement (and playing a lead role) in complex Employee Relations (ER) cases and protecting the business against ET claims
Support the business in the management and implementation of a number of key people projects, concerning systems, customer, legal compliance and ER
Ensure site and departments in designated remit operate in compliance with Company policies, UK legislation and any specific requirements from Reyes Holdings or our Customers including all internal and external audits
Work collaboratively with the HR team to administer the starter, leaver and change processes and all other life cycle activity
Coach Managers on how to deal with performance management issues and drive a true people first culture
Work with Senior Managers to ensure there is strength and depth in the talent management process ensuring that the people pipeline is well maintained with high performing and well-motivated employees
Develop and implement consistent policies and procedures for day-to-day management activity and continuous improvement
Advise and deliver on all aspects relating to the people strategy, including but not limited to, retention, training and development, employee engagement and culture of care
Provide expertise in the field of organisational design to ensure consistency and agility in people structures
Carry out any other reasonable duties, as required, commensurate with the role
Qualifications
Technical Competencies:
Experienced senior HR professional with a proven track record in fast moving, customer-focussed and unionised environments
Up to date and in-depth employment law knowledge
Proven ability to deal with high volume and complex ER matters
Proven ability to coach Line Managers
Experience in Line Management of HR professionals and proven ability to manage through a team
Analytical and data driven
Strong attention to detail
Strong commercial acumen
Highly organised
Ideally CIPD qualified
Full UK driving licence – regular UK travel is required
