Ansell is looking for an Engineer II to join our team in Ansell Lanka, Biyagama.

What your role will be?
Support management in development and delivery of progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and various presentations.
Identify automation opportunities in Ansell global plants and communicate suitable design ideas to senior management
Support management in identifying global automation solution providers and maintain close relationship with them to develop automation solutions in Ansell plants
Handle Automation projects from design through installation
Develop solutions collaborating with plant engineering teams, colleagues and suppliers
Develop feasibility studies and simulations/ prototypes for automation proposals
PLC Programming
Overlook Mechanical and electrical assembly of the fabricated machinery
Fault finding and resolution
Offering advice and technical support to the technical staff
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the robots and associated equipment in their designated area of expertise
Support and communication with all field employees, supervisors, managers and customers
Ability to handle multiple projects and switch quickly and comfortably between projects
Work effectively with other team members and maintain positive morale and sense of teamwork
What will you bring to Ansell?
Education
B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical, Production or Electrical engineering from a recognized University.
Experience
1-3 years of professional experience in the area of plant floor automation would be preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
Familiarity with PLC software.
Willingness and legal ability to travel and work in the other Ansell sites.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to present material to senior officials.
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
Additional Requirements (travel, etc.)
Travel will be required for the purpose of machine installation, meeting engineering teams in other Ansell plants, or carrying out projects in plants. Estimate 40% of travels including local travels.
