We are seeking a highly motivated Red Micro-LED Development Engineer to join our advanced optoelectronic device team. The candidate will focus on the design, fabrication, and characterization of high-performance red micro-LEDs for next-generation display applications. The role requires strong expertise in III-V semiconductor materials, epitaxial growth, microfabrication and device characterizations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead development of AlGaInP-based red-emitting micro-LEDs.
• Collaborate with MOCVD epitaxy engineers to optimize material growth for high internal quantum efficiency and uniformity.
• Design and simulate micro-LED structures for improved light extraction, current spreading, and device reliability.
• Develop and refine microfabrication processes (photolithography, dry/wet etching, metallization, passivation, bonding).
• Characterize device performance, including electrical, optical, and thermal properties at wafer and chip level.
• Analyze degradation mechanisms and propose solutions for enhanced lifetime and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (epitaxy, packaging, testing, and system integration).
• Document development progress, prepare technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Ph.D. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience in III-V optoelectronic devices (micro-LEDs, LEDs, VCSELs, lasers or photo diodes).
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of III-V semiconductors (AlGaInP, InP, etc.).
Proficiency in MOCVD epitaxial growth techniques and device physics.
Hands-on experience in semiconductor microfabrication (etching, deposition, lithography, wafer bonding).
Expertise in device characterization (L-I-V, EL spectra, EQE, reliability testing).
Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., COMSOL, Silvaco, Lumerical, Sentaurus) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in red or visible micro-LED development for displays or micro-displays.
• Prior experience in wafer-to-wafer hybrid bonding with CMOS backplanes.
• Experience with reliability testing and failure analysis.
