Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Department: Finance

Reports to: Finance Manager/Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring the integrity of financial transactions, and supporting accurate financial reporting. You will play a key role in maintaining the company’s financial health by preparing and analyzing financial documents, assisting in audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts while maintaining accurate and organized records of all transactions.

General Ledger Maintenance: Record day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.

Reconciliation: Perform bank and account reconciliations to verify and reconcile financial discrepancies.

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to optimize financial operations.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting standards.

Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.

Time Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
