JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Associate/Driver at Polyvinyl Films is a Hybrid position. This unique role combines the warehouse responsibilities with packaging duties and also includes a driving component. This position will work in our warehouse for a majority of the day, performing duties such as packaging, sorting, inventory management, forklift operating, and shipping/receiving. Approximately 10% of the day will be spent shuttling materials from one polyvinyl plant to another, using a boxtruck. The ideal candidate for the position should have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and possess a valid Class D Drivers’ License.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse/Packaging Duties (90% of the day):
Accurately package and label products for shipping.
Assist with inventory control and organization of warehouse stock.
Ensure packaging materials meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if trained), and other tools as required.
Assist with receiving shipments and checking goods for quality and quantity.
Prepare orders for shipment and ensure they are properly documented.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
Assist in other warehouse-related tasks as needed.
Driving Duties (10% of the day):
Safely operate a boxtruck to transport products to and from designated locations.
Ensure all deliveries and pickups are made in a timely and efficient manner.
Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance.
Assist with loading and unloading goods as necessary.
ESSENTIALS JOB DUTIES:
Warehouse Operations:
Consistently and efficiently process incoming and outgoing orders, ensuring that inventory is properly stored and items are packages to meet customer requirements.
Driving:
Safely operate a boxtruck to shuttle material from one Polyvinyl Films Inc. plant to another, following all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels, assist with cycle counts, and report any discrepancies. Ensure inventory is stored in an organized manner to streamline picking and packaging processes.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety procedures and standards while working in both the warehouse and on the road, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe driving practices.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other packaging staff to ensure efficient operations and effective communication across shifts.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to operator a straight truck safely and comply with all road safety laws.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED, required.
Valid Class D drivers’ license, with a clean driving record, required.
Position requires the candidate to successfully complete and pass a DOT (Department of Transportation) physical examination prior to starting employment.
Proven experience in warehousing or packaging environments.
Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
Previous experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, etc.).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Exposure to loud noise, dust, and fluctuating temperatures.
Salary Range: $20.00/ hr
This range reflects the base salary that Polyvinyl Films Inc. reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role, based on current market data. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
