Job Description
American Traveler seeks a Physical Therapist for an outpatient and inpatient acute care setting, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a current BLS certification.
Responsibilities
Work in both outpatient and acute care inpatient settings at a level IV trauma hospital
Day shifts, Monday through Friday, with hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Typical patient ratio is 1:6
No weekend or on-call requirements
Travelers may float within scope to meet facility needs
Cerner EMR is used throughout hospital settings; Cerner experience preferred
Free hospital housing available
Block scheduling is possible based on facility needs
Time off is limited to one week and not permitted within the first two weeks due to orientation requirements
Scrub color is flexible; consult dress code policy for details
Free parking is available on site
Travel pairs are accepted
No radius rule for local candidates
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent physical therapy experience required
Active BLS certification required
Current state PT license or compact license required; pending licenses are not accepted except for compact
Cerner EMR experience preferred
First-time travelers will not be considered
Submission must include two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years and a complete 7-year work history with all gaps explained
License required if applicable
