Primary Responsibilities
· Serve as the primary quality liaison for both external suppliers and internal manufacturing operations.
· Implement and maintain QMS systems for both launcher and projectile product lines.
· Lead supplier qualification audits and internal readiness for new product launches.
· Provide hands-on quality support and drive continuous improvement at the Fort Wayne manufacturing site.
· Travel to Taiwan-based suppliers to assess capabilities, perform audits, and manage issue resolution.
· Develop and manage supplier and internal KPIs to track quality performance.
· Lead CAPA reviews, QMS audits, and systemic quality improvement projects.
· Train internal teams and suppliers on quality tools: 8D, SCAR, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, Control Plans, etc.
· Partner with cross-functional teams to launch and sustain QMS processes for long-term reliability.
Position Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline.
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality engineering, including both supplier and in-plant environments.
· Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 or equivalent QMS standards.
· Willingness to relocate or travel to Fort Wayne full-time for 3 months, then travel 50% (domestic + international).
· Familiarity with defense or aerospace products is a plus.
· ASQ certification (CQE, CMQ/OE, or CSQP) is .
· Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence across function
Travel Requirements:
· First 3 Months: Full-time, on-site in Fort Wayne, Indiana
· After 3 Months: Approximately 50% travel required, including recurring visits to Fort Wayne and international travel to Taiwan suppliers
