Job Title:Customer Quality Engineer

Reporting To:Manager, Quality Engineering

Work Schedule:Onsite – Tewkesbury, GBR

Moog Commercial Aircraft Group in Tewkesbury is seeking a confident and customer-focused Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) to join our Quality Assurance team. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration, problem-solving, and driving quality excellence in a complex aerospace environment.

As a CQE, you will be the voice of the customer within Moog, ensuring satisfaction through compliance with quality requirements and timely resolution of issues. You’ll lead investigations, host audits, and influence cross-functional teams to continuously improve product integrity and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary quality liaison for assigned customer accounts

Facilitate customer returns, ensuring timely processing and thorough failure investigations

Perform contract reviews and interpret customer flowdown requirements, negotiating exceptions where necessary

Host customer audits and manage corrective actions to closure

Support on-site customer account reviews and process change approvals

Lead investigations into potential product integrity risks

Manage and drive corrective actions independently across programmes and customers

Contribute to the development of quality engineering tools and resources

Qualifications and Experience

Strong background in Quality Assurance, ideally within aerospace

Experience in a customer-facing role in a manufacturing or assembly environment

Familiarity with AS9100 standards; lead auditor certification is advantageous

Working knowledge of zero-defect principles, APQP/PPAP, and quality improvement tools (e.g., 8D, RCCA, DMAIC, Ishikawa)

Project management experience is beneficial

Excellent communication, influencing, and collaboration skills across time zones and functions

Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain composure under pressure
