Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our Fire Protection Services team. This role is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA codes and industry standards. The ideal candidate will be skilled in system diagnostics and committed to ensuring life safety and property protection for our customers.

Fire Sprinkler Service Technician Responsibilities

Inspect, service, and repair a variety of fire sprinkler systems including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems.

Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs to ensure system functionality and code compliance.

Install piping, sprinkler heads, valves, and other components as needed for system upgrades or new installations.

Accurately interpret blueprints, technical documents, and system specifications.

Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other technicians to complete jobs efficiently and effectively.

Provide clear communication to customers regarding findings, required repairs, and system status.

Document work performed, materials used, and system conditions using digital or manual reporting tools.

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during field work.

Fire Sprinkler Service Technician Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

2+ years of experience servicing and/or installing fire sprinkler systems

Working knowledge of NFPA standards and local fire codes

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical manuals

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Good communication and customer service abilities

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Preferred

NICET Certification in Water-Based Systems (Level I or higher)

Experience with a variety of system types (e.g., wet, dry, pre-action, foam)

OSHA safety training or equivalent certifications
