Accounting Manager

Job Description

The Accounting Manager will oversee daily, weekly and monthly accounting operations while ensuring the adherence and compliance with current accounting standards. Reporting to the Controller, this position will play a pivotal role within the department and contribute to the overall financial success of the organization. The successful candidate will have a combination of experience, knowledge, and desire to work within a fast paced and dynamic environment where each day is different.

Department Oversight:

Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and meet established deadlines.

Manage month-end close schedule, producing timely financials for review/analysis.

Supervise and mentor accounting staff on accounting processes & procedures, fostering an environment of professional development and continuous learning.

Assist with various hands-on accounting tasks as needed which may include reconciliations, journal entries, analysis and review.

Work cross functionally with department heads to address information bottlenecks, suggest process improvements, ensuring the accurate and timely receipt of financial information.

Be an active participant in the annual audit and working with external auditors

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

5 years accounting experience in addition to 2 years supervisory experience preferred

Relevant experience within the wine, CPG, or inventory focused environment.

Strong systems/ERP experience and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently

Salary is commensurate with experience, between the range of $125-145k annually + benefits.

Full-time
